Disclosure and Barring Service

If your course involves working with children or vulnerable adults, you will need to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). There is an initial £38 fee for this. If you already have valid Enhanced Disclosure and have paid the annual subscription fee of £13, you will need to show your DBS clearance and provide a link to your online record.

Contextual Admissions
The tradition of the College is to ensure a holistic approach when considering applications from prospective students. This is supportive of the College’s commitment to widening participation and social justice.

In line with this and the College’s admissions policy, decisions will be informed by academic and admissions staff based on contextual information including details of additional qualifications and relevant experience.

Postgraduate Study – Masters/Taught Higher Degrees

Students will be expected to have an honours degree (however certain subjects will normally only accept 2:2 or above / 2:1 or above) in a relevant subject and be able to demonstrate commitment to pursuing their studies at a higher level. Two written references are also required, one academic and one professional. Additional entry requirements vary for each course and can be found on the respective course page
