About the Seminar
This discussion‑based seminar will explore the emergence of Black gospel music within the Black British context, engaging critically with questions of theology, culture, history, and power. Particular attention will be given to the Black Majority Church Movement in the UK, examining how music functions as both theological expression and cultural narrative.
The session is designed to be interactive and reflective, offering participants the opportunity to engage with contemporary theological questions that sit at the intersection of faith, identity, and society.
