ANTI-BRIBERY POLICY STATEMENT

Anti-Bribery Policy statement

This policy statement clarifies the position of the Governing Council of Christ the Redeemer College (CRC) in relation to the Bribery Act 2010 and the offences contained within the legislation. The underlining Christian “Statement of faith” and ethos at the heart of the College requires all CRC staff, agents, partners and all other associated persons to transact business associated with the College in an open, honest and transparent manner and must not engage in any way with actions contrary to the Bribery legislation.

The College subscribes to the definition of Bribery as accepting or offering benefits to procure services or gain influence. These benefits may include money or inappropriate hospitality. Bribery and corruption are not only against our College values and culture; they are illegal and can expose both the employee and the College to fines and penalties, including imprisonment and reputational damage.

Therefore, at Christ the Redeemer College, bribery is never permitted. We will not seek to influence others, either directly or indirectly, by offering, paying, or receiving bribes or kickbacks, or by any other means that is considered unethical, illegal, or harmful to our reputation of honesty and integrity. Employees and representatives of the college are expected to decline any opportunity which would place our ethical principles and reputation at risk.

College staff who suspect that bribery or fraud has occurred are required to report such instances to the Head of Compliance and | or the Director of Finance. The matter will be appropriately investigated, recorded, and reported in accordance with the College Regulations. The Head of Compliance shall be responsible under this Policy for monitoring and recording instances of bribery or fraud and reporting to the Audit Committee.

The College has processes in place to keep under review all relevant policies in order to establish clear boundaries within our ethos and to clarify our Zero-tolerance to bribery and corruption all across our operations in every location.
