BTEC LEVEL 5 HND DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS

Course Description
The Higher National Diploma in Business offers students a practical introduction to the world of business. At this level of the BTEC framework, students are introduced to a wide variety of topics within the business environment.

Course Content (Modules)
The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Business (QCF) is a qualification Comprises of 16 units with a minimum of 240 credits of which 125 credits are mandatory core.

Assessment
The units are assessed using a variety of assignments, class based activities and presentations. Students’ progress will be identified as referral, pass, merit or distinction

Duration of Programme
24 months (if starting from HNC)
12 months (if progressing from HNC)

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for our Level 4 programs are:

Students must be 18 or over
2 A Levels or AVCEs at Grade ‘C’ or above or 4 AS Levels at Grade ‘C’ or above.
or BTEC National Certificate
or the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of 24 points
or the European Baccalaureate (EB) with a minimum of 60 points
or the German Abitur with a minimum overall grade of 2.0 (subject grades of 12, 11or 10)
or a comparable qualification from another Educational System
Any students considered to be eligible for exemptions for prior study, must first have this confirmed by the awarding body of the programme they have applied for
English Language Requirements
European/international students are required to demonstrate suitable levels of English competence, the equivalent of CEFR Level B1 in all four components (reading, writing, listening & speaking) dependant on the programme applying for, see English language requirements on UKBA website www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk
