Rev. Tim Wilkinson

Tim has lectured at Christ the Redeemer College since 2000. His first degree was a BSc in Botany from University College London and he subsequently gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education in London. He worked with the London City Mission for eighteen years running a Mission Centre in Greenwich, working with international students and finally being involved in church based ministry. During this time he completed a University of London BD as an external student through London Bible College.

After leaving the mission Tim completed his Diploma in Counselling through the Central School of Counselling and Therapy and then a Postgraduate Diploma in Biblical Interpretation through the London School of Theology. He is involved in counselling church leaders and was for three years the director of the Beulah Counselling Service in North London.

Tim has been a Distance Learning and Online Tutor for London School of Theology since 1998 having tutored courses on managing stress in ministry, on personal, spiritual and skills formation and practical placements. He leads one of the congregations of the Ichthus Christian Fellowship and is part of the Pastoral Team at Spring Harvest where he has regularly spoken in seminars.

Research Interests:
Tim is working on developing an integrative model of counselling that is based solidly on a Christian world view but also takes into consideration the insights that we can gain from contemporary psychological and counselling studies.
